Myers-Birggs Type Indicator (MBTI) adalah psikotes yang dirancang untuk mengukur preferensi psikologis seseorang dalam melihat dunia dan membuat keputusan. MBTI dikembangkan oleh Isabel Briggs Myers pada sejak 1940. MBTI didasari pada jenis dan preferensi kepribadian dari Carl Gustav Jung, Psychological Types pada tahun 1921. Tujuan dari MBTI adalah membuat teori tipe psikologis dijelaskan oleh Carl Jung dapat dimengerti dan berguna dalam kehidupan manusia. Sampai saat ini tes MBTI adalah tes kepribadian yang paling banyak dipakai di dunia selain tesenneagram. Tes ini juga dipakai untuk mengetahui karakter kepribadian karyawan perusahaan agar dapat ditempatkan pada bidang yang membuat potensi karyawan tersebut optimal. MBTI didasarkan dari teori tipologi yang diusulkan oleh Carl Gustav Jung dalam bukunya berjudul "Psychological Type" yang diterbitkan pada tahun 1921.
Dalam Tes MBTI ini, ada 4 dimensi kecenderungan sifat dasar manusia :
1. Dimensi pemusatan perhatian: Introvert (I) vs. Ekstrovert (E)
2. Dimensi menarik kesimpulan & keputusan : Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F)
3. Dimensi pola hidup : Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P)
4. Dimensi memahami informasi dari luar : Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N)
16 tipe kepribadian berdasarkan 4 dimensi tadi, yaitu:
1. ESTJ : Extrovert, Sensing, Thingking, Judging
2. ENTJ : Extrovert, Intuition, Thingking, Judging
3. ESFJ : Extrovert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging
4. ENFJ : Extrovert, Intuition, Feeling, Judging
