Currently, mental illnesses are one of the most common causes of death in adolescents. “According to the world health organization, many affected avoid seeking professional attention because of shame and fear of rejection. Although they affect many people, mental illnesses still receive very little attention and generate rejection.” Mental illnesses should not be a shame, they should not be fear, mental illnesses are common and should BEGIN TO BE TREATED.
“There are many misconceptions surrounding mental health. One of the most serious is that mental illnesses are not real illnesses and that people with mental health problems should wake up and move on with their lives.” Stigma free : see the person, not the illness.
In conclusion, mental illness should not be something to be ashamed of, diseases such as depression, anxiety or addictions should begin to look like a real illness. They must be treated.
