On Earth, we have the four seasons; Spring, summer, fall, and winter because of multiple different factors. First, take the relation of the tilt of our Earth to the sun; when Earth is tilted away from the sun the southern hemisphere experiences summer (with longer hours of daylight than dark) because it has more direct light from the sun compared to the northern hemisphere which is experiencing winter because of the indirect light. This means we experience opposite temperatures and weather in the two hemispheres during, what we in the north call, the winter solstice. This is the same for a summer solstice, just vise versa where the northern hemisphere experiences summer.
