Kana stretched her arms. She wore her purple pajamas with pink hearts on them. She slipped on a pink bathrobe and pink fluffy slippers that she had bought in Circhester. She undid her braids and brushed her now wavy hair. She headed for the door to check the mail.

"CHAMPION KANA! CHAMPION KANA- HOW DOES IT FEEL KNOWING THAT, WITH CHAIRMAN ROSE GONE, YOU'RE ESEENTIALLY IN CHARGE OF THE GALAR REGION????" a reporter screamed in her face. She practically had the microphone thrown at her. Kana froze. She turned around and walked back inside. "CHAMPION! CHAMPION KANA!"

She slammed the door and sighed. She headed to the kitchen and made herself a bowl of cereal.

She sat on the couch and proceeded to eat her cereal, hoping the reporters would leave her alone. She could still hear them yelling her new title.

//"And the winner, the new champion of the Galar region is: Challenger Kana! Everyone say hello to your new, Champion Kana Karr!" the crowd was explosive. Leon looked hurt, yet proud. He was shocked that he had finally been beat, but also overjoyed that the trainer he picked had been the one to do it. Kana didn't know whether she should cry or just smile. Why not both?//

That was just last night. She was the champion now. It was thrilling, but terrifying. The region was depending on her. She couldn't let them down. She knew that the whole region, perhaps even the whole world was proud of her, but there was only one person she did this for- and she had know idea if they were proud of her at all.

She picked up her phone and quickly dialed Their number. She did this for Them, and Them alone. Being the champion was nice and all, but.. If They weren't proud of her, what was the point? The phone rang. And rang. And beeped. Kana took a deep breath. "Moshi moshi, Anabel tono. Atashi...... Wakaranai, eh, kikimashitaka... Atashi Galar no oja desu! Yossha! Shobu da!.... Sayonara! Daisuki!" Kana hung up and sighed. Anabel hadn't been picking up her phone calls. It made her worried that something had happened to her. But Kana would never forget was Anabel told her during her last night in Alola.

//"Kana-tan..." Anabel gave a sympathetic smile. Kana's expression dropped. She had been so ready to battle her. She had studied all the type advantages and strategies... She was ready! "You aren't ready yet. There's more to battling than type advantages and strategy. You can't expect to be strong just because your Pokémon is strong. You and your Pokémon need to have a mutual understanding and trust before you can battle. You're going to Galar for modeling, but... I say do the gym challenge. Form a strong team, with strong friendships. If you can reach the finals and battle Galar's so-called unbeatable champion... Then I'll let you battle me. Got it? And when that time comes..." Anabel smiled. "Shobu da."//

Shobu da. Kana had done everything she had just done to hear Anabel say those words again.
