My situation
From my standpoint I’ve gotten the green light from the manager that had authority over my scheduling that it was okay for me to take the time that I needed to do what I got to do for this short duration, way ahead of time. Had that not been the case, there would’ve already been time frames under those dates.

Every other time I’ve been needed, I’ve been effective at my job, and I’ve given a lot of my energies to this Macy’s for the past year and happily so with no issues.

But now that that manager is gone, it’s like all of a sudden you guys are pinning this specific occurrence on me and having it fall on me that I’m not doing what my job description says and that now this may not be the job for me from the conversation we had yesterday. Do you see where my frustration is? Who’s coordinating here, where’s the structure?

If things are switched up on me last minute and y’all are pulling out technicalities on me after a situation’s BEEN resolved, I have every right to feel that something isn’t quite right here, like my efforts are being cherry picked.

I get that you all have a business to run, but I’d also like to see some integrity on the managing side so that no one else’s time is being stepped on like it doesn’t matter.

I never minded working on Holidays because when I came here, I was a seasonal worker that was thEN invited to stay as flex and even part-time and I STAYED because I’m a hard worker and I enjoyed it here. My only problem now is that this situation had been resolved but is now being switched up on me last minute when I had all my plans set in motion.

Anyone in my shoes would feel some type of way about this.
It seems like there’s no loyalty to anything but money here right now and that’s honestly really sad.
It also wouldn’t be “fair” if we’re talking about fairness to use people and to throw them away at the slightest inconvenience when they’ve been there for you all this time.

So I think in order for any of this to work, there needs to be viable communication and cooperation
