blue = gray and red = orange

calicos and torties are shes because black + red are on the X gene
a diluted tortie is blue-cream, and a piebald is either cali tricolor (mainly white) or tortie and white bicolor
all cats are technically tabbies, but they only show it with the agouti dominant gene, but solid reds will show it because sex-linked genes aren't affected by non-agouti genes
tabby types:
classic - stripes, swirls, blotches, and bulls-eyes
ticked - banding on each hair with a lighter color at the base, aka speckled but not striped (Abyssinians and Somalis)
mackerel - you know
spotted - Ocicats have larger spots, Egyptian Maus have high contrast, Bengals have rosette (rose-shaped), or anything in between
patched - shes with any stripes but also red patches
siamese is recessive (both parents must have it) and is temp sensitive
siamese is partly an albino gene
Tonkinese (Siamese + Burmese) are more subtle and are called minks
shaded cat types:
chinchilla - only the outer coat is colored
shaded - half of the guard hair (outer coat) is colored
smoke - only the undercoat is white
bicolors are white and any other color, even only one patch of white
bi/tricolors are from the incomplete dominant piebald gene
Ravenheart is basically a tuxedo, opposite being a Van
calicos are white shes with large solid areas of black and red, sometimes blues and creams thrown in. they can have any range of white
torties are particolored shes that are black with patches of red, diluted being blue and cream. the patches can be tabby
all kits have blue eyes until about 2 moons
if a cat has two colored eyes (i.e. Flamefur) have inherited the piebald trait
siamese have blue eyes because of the albinism
