This is an odd story about a boy that his parents died so he goes to live with his grandma. The story begins with the narrator and his grandmother telling her stories about witches. Later, they moved to England, where the narrator first saw a witch. After that, the narrator and his grandmother went on holiday with the boy. The boy heard every word of the meeting that the Grand High Witch of All the World had with the witches of England. He learns that the witches of England were going to use magic to turn the children of England into mice. The narrator then kills all the witches with their own mouse-maker. The story ends with the grandmother and narrator planning on a great mission to save the world from witches.

I like this book because the story is smooth and the characters have a strong impact so it is easy to follow the story. I have the most sympathy with the main character because she was changed into a mouse in the first few chapters. It was interesting how they were beating up the witches because it was their medicine that was making kids sick. After reading this story, I have learnt that many things could be blessings in disguise. The grand high witch turned the narrator into a mouse, but this helped the boy to kill all the witches of England. It may also help to save the entire world from witches! Therefore, I have learnt not to whine when I something bad happens to me. It may be the cause of something even better than I have ever imagined!
