"Baby?" I called out, kicking my shoes off. I had just returned from work and I'd been calling out Y/N's name for over a minute now. I'd usually hear her feet pattering down the stairs. But today, it was silent. An unsettling silence filled the house. "Y/N?" I called out, once again hoping she'd come running down the stairs proceeding to jump into my arms. I sighed, dropping my bag. A thud filled the room as it hit the floor, I began dashing up the stairs. Once I got up the stairs, I heard an inaudible noise. I slowly made my way towards the door that led to our bedroom. Now the noise was audible, my eyes widened when I heard sobs. My fingertips above the doorknob, I slowly pushed the door open. The sight before me made my heart crumble. "Y/N?" I spoke, worry coating my voice. Her glossy eyes stared into mine "T-taehyung?" She quivered. "Honey, what's wrong?" I cooed, wrapping my arms around her waist.
Flashback 5:45 PM Y/N POV
I scrolled through social media on my phone, bored was the perfect word to describe my mood.
Suddenly, my phone dinged as a result of a notification. It was a message. My eyes scanned through the message until one word hit me like a bullet. Dead. Dead? My eyebrows furrowed in confusion, then I saw it. My best friend had passed away from a car accident. My eyes widened, as pain ran through my body. My whole entire body froze from shock. My hands began shaking, as my breathing became rapid. How could this happen to her?! I screamed
