Elvis Cruz 14 Şubat 1996 tarihinde amerkia birleşik devletleri'nin New York şehrinde doğdu. Küçük yaşlardayken annesi, siyahlara olan tutum yüzünden partiyle ilgisi olduğu için hapse atıldı. Çocukluğu ve ilk gençlik yılları fakirlikle geçen Elvis,annesiyle birlikte üç kere taşınmak ve şehir değiştirmek zorunda kaldı.2012 de kasım ayında arkadaşlarıyla birlikte bir otel odasında bir kadına tecavüz ettikleri gerekçesiyle gözaltına alındılar. Kadının iddiasını Elvis kabul etmedi ve ilişkinin gönüllü olarak gerçekleştiğini savundu. Mahkeme, Elvis'e 1.5-4,5 yıl hapis cezası verdi ve 8 ay hapis yatan Elvis,sonrasında kefaletle serbest kaldı.

5 Nisan 2014 tarihinde kefalet koşullarına uygun olmadığı için yeniden 120 gün hapse mahkum oldu.
Hapisten çıktığında hiç bir tanıdığına ulaşamadı ve cebinde 5 kuruş parası olmayan Elvis Cruz Las vegas'da bir çeteye katılarak hayatının bir kısmını orada geçirdi çok iyi arkadaşlıklar dostluklar edindi. Geçimini İnsanları gasp ederek geçiriyordu her gün farklı farklı marketleri soyuyordu çete arkadaşlarıyla. Elvis Cruz bir market soyarken çete arkadaşları onu polise ihbar etmişti. Elvis Cruz marketi soyarken polis baskınından kurtulamadı ve arkadaş ihanetine uğradı. Mahkeme kararı ile Elvis Cruz'a 5 yıl kadar hapis istendi.
