On 10/22/19 at 7:15 AM, a box truck and cargo of
major appliances were stolen from a restaurant parking
lot located on 3rd Street, Elizabeth, NJ.
It was reported that the driver stopped at the
aforementioned location for breakfast. The driver left
the box truck running while inside the restaurant.

10/21 Mon Fraud - Lexington MO Other Roofing Shingles 6 Pallets -

On 10/21/19, a freight broker contacted CargoNet to
advise an unknown subject, alias George Miller,
contacted their business and hired them to dispatch a
truck to pickup six pallets of roofing shingles from a
shipper on Main St, Lexington, MO and deliver it to him
at 300 Faile St, Bronx, NY.
The broker received a credit card authorization form
and dispatched a truck to the address on 10/18/19. The
truck was contacted by local authorities on arrival.
Authorities advised the broker that the shipment was a
known stolen credit card / cargo theft scheme they are
working and asked them to submit paperwork for
further investigation. The shipment was not loaded.

AM, an intermodal container was broken into and three
televisions were pilfered from the shipment while at a
secured yard on Hackensack Avenue in South Kearny,
NJ. The shortage was reported by the consignee upon
receipt of the cargo and conducting an inventory.

AM, a trailer was broken into and its cargo of
electronics were stolen from a warehouse on East 95th
St, Chicago, IL.
The motor carrier had picked up the shipment from
Plainfield, IN on 10/21/19 and parked at the
aforementioned theft location at 7:43 PM. The driver
returned on 10/22/19 at 6:00 AM and found the locks
on his trailer had been cut and some, but not all,
product missing from the trailer.

On 10/20/19 at 3:00 PM, a tractor, trailer, and cargo of
cooking oil were reported stolen from a business
parking lot on Dice Rd, Santa Fe Springs, CA.
The victim had picked up the shipment from Ontario,
CA and parked the tractor and loaded trailer at the
aforementioned theft location. He returned on
10/20/19 at 3:00 PM to find they were gone.

at 8:00 AM. Since that time, the shipment has not
delivered to the consignee and all attemptsto
communicate with the driver or the carrier have been
unsuccessful.

incident with theft at a carrier lot in Kearny, NJ within
the same time-frame.

assistance identifying a possible stolen shipment of
sheetrock and plumbing supplies which were loaded
into an ongoing sea container with two stolen vehicles
inside.

UPDATE ON 10/17/19&58; The shipper reported that
no cargo was missing from this load. On 10/16/19 a
broken seal was discovered on a container loaded with
electronics while the container was offloaded at a yard
in Chambersburg, PA. The load was originally put on
the rail in Los Angeles, CA with a stop in Chicago, IL
before reaching its final destination in Chambersburg,
PA. It is unknown at this time whether in product is
missing. Awaiting additional details.

On 10/16/19, a driver named Alex with Highway
Runner Transport, Inc. (DOT: 3337142) picked up a load
of roofing shingles from Ennis, TX destined for delivery
in Midland, TX on 10/17/19. On 10/18/19 at 11:00 AM,
the receiver e-mailed the broker to inform them that
the shipment failed to deliver. The carrier was
contacted and asked to provide proof of delivery for
the load. The carrier provided an incomplete copy of
the bill showing only the top portion. Upon asking for
another copy of the document, the carrier has refused
to comply and has stopped answering all further
attempts at communication.

On 10/15/15 during the evening hours, a trailer's seal was
cut while the driver was stopped at a truck stop on El
Centro Rd, Sacramento, CA. The driver does not believe that
any cargo was taken.

unknown suspects cut a security perimeter fence at a
secured yard located on W McLemore Ave in Memphis, TN.
The fence was breached at southeast corner of the yard; an
area that is bordered by train tracks and tall vegetation. At
this time it was reported that no trailers were tampered
with. The fence had been repaired yesterday and cut again
last night.

Between 10/13/19 at 11:00 AM and 10/14/19 at 7:00 AM, a
trailer was broken into and an unknown amount of product
was stolen while the trailer was parked at a lot located at
11925 Interchange Dr., Grand Bay,AL.
The driver reported that two empty boxes and the broken
plastic seal were discovered on the ground. As of right now,
it is unknown at this time the amount of product that was
taken.

Cargo Westview FL Unreported Footwear 30 Pallets $300,000

On 10/13/19 at 5:01 PM, a tractor, trailer and cargo of
unspecified apparel were stolen from NW 123rd Street at
NW 32nd Avenue in Westview, FL.
The tractor and trailer both had tracking devices that were

disabled at the time of theft. The tractor also had a front-
facing camera. The camera showed the tractor was stolen

at 5:01 PM and stopped driving at 5:12 PM. The tractor
begins driving again at 5:37 PM and at 5:40 PM is confirmed
to be running at the intersection of E 9th St and E 8th Ave in
Hialeah, FL. The trailer was not present at that time and
investigators believe it was likely dropped / attached to
another tractor at 5:12 PM.
The tractor was later recovered abandoned in Medley, FL,
but the trailer and cargo are still outstanding.

Between 10/12/19 at 9:30 PM and 10/13/19 at 12:30 AM, a
lock and seal were cut on a trailer while in a parking lot
located on Lamar Avenue in Memphis, TN.
The driver parked at the location overnight to sleep. He
awoke to someone knocking at his tractor door. Since he
did not feel safe to answer the door, he waited a few
minutes and drove to a safer location without checking on
the load. He stopped at a truck stop 1 mile away on Lamar
Avenue, checked on the cargo when he noticed that the
hasp and seal were cut and contacted the police. After
checking the cargo, the driver determined that nothing
appeared to have been stolen. The doors were locked once
again by the driver.

On 10/12/19 at 12:16 AM, a tractor, trailer, and cargo of
energy drinks were stolen from a fenced yard on Wireway
Dr, Dallas, TX.
The tractor and loaded trailer were parked sometime after
10/11/19 at 2:21 PM. Video surveillance shows the vehicles
exit the theft location on 10/12/19 at 12:16 AM. The tractor
and loaded trailer were immediately followed out by an
unmarked, white Volvo semi-tractor. Another unknown
passenger vehicle can be seen in the background with its
headlights on. The victim was made aware of the theft after
they had contacted him about recovering his abandoned
tractor. The trailer and cargo remain missing.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: On 10/15/19, CargoNet
was advised that the victim determined that all five trailers
were loaded. One trailer was possibly missing some of its
contents and another trailer had some of its cargo
disturbed/moved around but it did not appear that any was
stolen. The other trailers were breached but their cargo was
not disturbed.
Between 10/12/19 and 10/14/19, five trailers were broken
into while parked at a carrier yard located on W McLemore
Ave, Memphis, TN. It was reported that three trailers were
empty and two had cargo in them. One trailer had a small
quantity of the cargo scattered on the outside of the trailer.
It is unknown at this time whether any cargo is missing.

various items, along with his trailer and Dragster, were
stolen from the shop.

On 10/10/19, CargoNet received intelligence in referenced
to an unidentified male subject who had purchased paint
from a hardware store to be used to disguise a unit stolen
from Lee County, FL. Images from the store's CCTV system
are available. CargoNet will see to obtain more information
on this subject in a effort to positively identify him.

Between 10/10/19 at 3:00 PM and 10/11/19 at 4:30 AM, an
empty tank trailer was stolen from a truck stop on 5th
Avenue SW in Le Mars, IA. On 10/11/19 at 12:51 PM,
CargoNet received information that the trailer reported
stolen in this incident had been located. It was noted that
the trailer was never stolen but had been accidentally
picked up by another driver. The trailer was said to have
been returned at this time.
