Sokağa çıktığımızda etrafımızda olan bitenden haberimiz olmaz pek. İşimizi yapar, eve döneriz. Ben de bu sabah insanları izlemeye karar verdim. Erken saatlerde cama geçtim ve hayatı izledim. İnsanlar sürekli koşuşturuyor, arabalar sürekli korna çalışıyordu. Kimisi işe gitmeye, kimisi okula gitmeye çalışıyordu. Kimisi de sadece ekmek almaya çıkmıştı. Ama herkes yarışta gibiydi. Kaçının gerçekten acelesi vardı acaba. Kaç kişi hastaneye yetişme derdindeydi. Mutemelen hiçbiri. Hergün aynı saatte işe giden insanlar nasıl oluyordu da sürekli geç kalabiliyordu. Sonra da hayvanlara baktım biraz. Köpekler esniyor, kediler yatıyordu. Hiç aceleleri yoktu. Peki biz neden sakin yaşayamıyoruz? Bunu düşündüm kendi kendime. Sebebinin yine insanlar olduğunu anladım. Kurulan bu düzen yüzünden insanlar ekmek alırken bile yarış içerisindeydi farkında olmadan. 8 saat çalış, 2 saat işe git gel, 8 saat uyu derken bir günde geriye sadece 6 saat kalıyor. Kendimize ayırdığımız süreden çok başkaları için çalışarak yaşıyoruz. 6 saatin de çoğu yemek ye, tuvalete git, ortalığı toparlamakla geçiyor zaten. Kısıtlı süremiz farkında olmadan herkesi hızlı yaşamaya mecbur bırakıyor. Sokağı izlerken bunu farkettim.
