Modern technology is one of the greatest assets to society. One of the many things modern technology has revolutionized is consumerism. More specifically, access to art and information is now easier than ever - and the same goes for the sharing of art and information. Kristin Thompson, Kristin Purcell, and Lee Rainie of Pew Research Center explain how art can easily be shared with the help of modern technology. According to Pew, one of the assets of modern technology is that it can break "geological constraints" when sharing art. As explained, "it will greatly improve accessibility to the arts field – from a monetary standpoint and from a logistical standpoint. People who live outside of urban areas will be able to experience performances that are somewhat limited to large urban areas" (Pew Research Center). In this respect, museums could share art across geographical boundaries with the use of modern technologies, like virtual reality, for example. Other technologies include 3D printing and quick replication techniques.
