I need help. I have had a crush on the same guy for three years now (pathetic, I know) and this year I am in year 10, my final year at my current school. I have barely talked to the guy I like because whenever I'm near him I get literal butterflies and freak out, usually embarrassing myself in one way or another. I have tried to get out of my comfort zone and talk to him but have backed out at last second every time. I did message him last year for his birthday but even that took heaps of courage... I was literally shaking when I pressed "send" (again, pathetic... I know).

I honestly don't even know how to explain the affect this boy has on me and like I already said... I barely know him! Is it even normal to have such a big crush on someone that you have hardly spoken to??

I have tried to, I guess... "get over" my crush on him several times but for whatever reason I can't seem to get him out of my head. I also seem him literally everywhere even though we don't have any classes with each other (we used to but not anymore).
