I woke up in a hospital bed and jolted. Where am I? Why am I in a hospital bed? Did something happen? I looked to my left and saw a vase with blue flowers. And, almost suddenly, I felt happy. What did these flowers mean to me? I reached to touch the flowers, wanting to get an inkling as to what they are to me. Who gave these to me? Why can't I see out of my right eye? I touched my eye and felt flowers there too. What is going on? I heard heavy footsteps.
'Took a bit of a fall the'e, eh sweetheart?'
'What?'
'I said, ya took a bit of a fall the'e, eh sweetheart?'
I looked towards the voice and saw a guy with sharp teeth. He smirked. A golden tooth. All of a sudden, I got a sharp pain in the back of my head. I shook it out and sighed.
'Umm... who are you?'
His expression changed from happy to concerned.
'Awh c'mon. Don't play this game wit' me.'
'What game? I'm not playing any games?'
The man sat down.
'You sure you don't know who I am?'
I nodded. He put his face in his hands and sighed.
'I thought they we'e bluffin'.'
'Thought that who was bluffing?'
He sighed again.
'Docto's. They said ya might have memory loss. Ya hit yer head pretty hard.'
I furrowed my brows as I felt a headache emerging. I saw the man's hand instinctively move towards my head if just to try to ease the pain. He noticed what he was doing and pulled his hand back.
'So... I know you?'
He laughed.
'More than ya should.'
We fell into calming silence.
'What did they say I should do?'
'What?'
'For me to get my memory back, what did they want me to do?'
He rubbed his temples and sighed.
'They want me ta do things ya liked to do wit' me.'
I smiled.
'That doesn't sound too bad.'
He smiled back at me.
'It isn't, I promise.' **
