Hiya, how are you? I'm not too bad at the moment. I was seething on Thursday as I've had yet another letter through from Oldham Council, kindly telling me that they're taking over £3.000 from my Individualised Budget account because there's an 'underspend'. This is absolutely the icing on the cake! My Social Worker was supposed to have told the Financial Team that there needs to be some cushion of money in the account because of my Mum's impending hip operation, whereby she'll no longer be able to provide care for me. Anyway, they're taking back the money in a couple of weeks - no mention of appealing the decision or anything. The whole situation is beyond disgraceful! My Mum even told them what the money was for so why they've taken no notice of this is unbelievable. I've emailed my Social Worker again and I've contacted a local Councillor to see if they can do anything but no word back so far. I can see it being all in vain to be honest and the money will be reclaimed by the Council. The current situation regarding money is making disabled people's lives absolute hell and I'm not prepared to stand for it. If I don't hear anything by Monday I'm contacting Michael Meacher MP. I've told Mum she might as well leave me on the steps of the Civic Centre on the day of her going into hospital as there'll be no money left to provide care for me. As far as I'm concerned, these decision makers are scum of the earth.

Anyway, rant over, lol! I did have a nice time on Wednesday going into Manchester using the tram so that was good. The tram was pretty busy going but I did get into the required space. It's tons easier than using the car, no stress whatsoever. I managed to pick up my parcels and I wasn't disappointed. I also bought a Longchamp makeup bag and a new NARS wet/dry eyeshadow which looks gorgeous applied. Then I went in Wilkinson's to buy some beads so it was a mixture of cheap and expensive stuff, lol!

Craft class went well on Thursday and I made 5 cards from a set. I really want to make a start on my Christmas cards soon, even though it seems really early to be doing them. We still had a problem getting back home from Oldham as there's many roads closed along with one-way streets that confuse you. It's not ideal but bearable at the moment. I won't be going next week as I've got my assessment with the Occupational Therapist about my new chair so although it's needed, it's not terribly exciting, lol!

On Friday I went out with Gail to The Whitegate for tea. I had a voucher code for 40% off main menu meals so I thought I might as well make use of it. Plus I haven't been out at night for months. It was really nice, I had the paprika chicken with spicy fries and salad followed by white chocolate and berry roulade. Not brilliant choices for someone needing to lose weight, lol but nevermind!
