- The silent type. Doesn't really talk a lot to people outside of his social circle.
- Kind of grumpy and surly, mostly since he just likes being left to his birds.
- His father was good friends with Koga(one of the elite four guys from Kanto) since forever, so he's good friends with his daughter, Janine, as well.
- Has (kind of) his own fanbase of girls due to being seen as the most handsome gym leaders in the region, with people tending to pair him up with Whitney because of this. (They're probably close to the same age) Sadly, the two don't really get along that well, since Falkner thinks she's a giant brat and Whitney thinks he's "totally mean, and even though he's kinda cute outside he's rotten and ugly and horrible on the inside!"
- Out of all the gym leaders, he gets along with Morty and Jasmine the best since he finds them less annoying- and not as imitating as Pyrce and Clair.
- Not really affectionate.
