In select cities, Uber driver-partners can choose Zipcar as their hourly option in the Uber marketplace. Uber driver-partners who haven’t rented with Zipcar before are eligible for special rental rates, gas, 24/7 roadside assistance, and up to 180 miles per day.
How too get stared
To get started, sign up at uber or the app as a driver once completion you have too select zipcar as an hourly option. then sing up at zipcar as a new member once aproved you can start accepting Uber trips.
It’s free to sign up as an Uber driver-partner, and there are no upfront fees to rent a Zipcar. When driving on the Uber app, Zipcars can be reserved by the hour. Rates start at $5.50 per hour during the week (Mon-Fri) and $9 per hour on the weekends (Sat-Sun). Zipcar Members are also responsible for paying a mileage fee of $0.45 per mile after the first 180 miles.
The rental rates are only available if you drive with Uber for ridesharing and not with any other Uber service such as Uber Eats or Uber Health. If you aren’t driving with Uber for ridesharing, you won’t be eligible to participate in this program.
Insurance policies
When using a Zipcar to drive with Uber (meaning the Uber app is on or you’re active on an Uber trip), Uber’s insurance policy will apply. At all other times when driving a Zipcar, Zipcar’s insurance will apply.
