About the Image (Analysis):

The title of this image is "Wool" the techniques in this painting are oil paint and the strokes are quite wide so she most likely used large paintbrushes, there are also some fine lines which are created by using a thin 'rigger' brush.
I chose this painting because I feel like it's more my style, I tend to paint with wider strokes and more blended. I also enjoyed this painting because of the background, it isn't just white it has different colours in it such as beige and purple. In the painting the girl has a blindfold on which i found interesting because I don't usually see artists painting blindfolds. This image links with my theme as my theme is people.
In detail the colour of her hair is very nicely painted as you can see the highlights in her her and where the light shines, the pair of hands on her face are a different shade than her own skin colour which looks nice. The hands are also outlined as I mentioned and this is either added for effect or there's a meaning behind it. There are also large white splashes on her and they look like she dissolved the oil paint with white spirit. Lastly the blindfold is shaped nicely around her nose with the shading. I already talked about the colours and how there's different shades of purple and beige in the background.
