İBB Meclisi AK Parti Grup Başkan Vekili Ergün Turan, imar uzlaşmasıyla ilgili olarak, "Komisyon kararı tamamen teknik bir karardır. Onlar gerekli incelemeleri yapıp Meclis'e getiriyorlar. Mutlaka yeni bir bilgi belge gerekmiştir, tekrar komisyona çekme ihtiyacı hissedilmiştir. Özel bilgiye sahip değiliz." dedi. Zafer Nuhoğlu ise "Dosya neden komisyona çekildi?" sorusuna, "Otelin yüksekliğini düşürecekler" diye cevap verdi. CHP'li üyeler de, "Daha önceki oyların ve attığımız imzanın arkasındayız. İmar komisyonu üyeleri yeni olduğundan gözlerinden kaçmıştır. Çünkü çok dosya geliyor" dediler.

BOSTANCI sahilindeki CHP'li meclis üyesi ve Ataşehir Belediye Başkan Yardımcısı Zafer Nuhoğlu'nun kayınpederi Mustafa Nuri Sadıkoğlu'na ait 54 yıllık Suadiye Oteli'nin yıkılıp yerine 10 katlı, 150 odalı bir otel yapılması için geçtiğimiz yıl İBB Meclisi'ne başvurulmuştu. 6 bin 406 metrekarelik araziye otel yapabilmek için yanında bulunan iki parselle birleştirilmesi amacıyla 2008 yılının mart ayında İBB Meclisi'ne plan tadilatı teklifinde bulunuldu.

CHP ve AK Partili İmar Komisyonu üyelerinin oy birliği ile Meclis'e gelen, 5 bin 498 metrekare inşaat yapılabilecek arsada 15 bin 370 metrekare inşaat yapmasına olanak sağlayan teklif, CHP'li ve AK Partili üyelerin oyları ile kabul edildi. Böylece 10 katlı yeni Suadiye Oteli'nin önü açıldı.
