aight some more possible ideas i have:

this timeline being a lot... different, then current soliven, obviously. maybe tensions between draggora, mekhain, and arcana got to the point where they had a intense, threeway war that boiled over to the point where it fucked over soliven as a whole. tensions never eased down between the three, and the only places that are at least semi-safe are salty springs, munia, and musou. maybe they consider themselves independent from each other and let select people in(?).

mekhain decided to amplify it's defenses by a lot and criminal activity becomes an all time high- because the black market sort of leaked into the streets, and due to corruption being present, it sort of just gets looked over or ignored when brought to light.

draggora being the most hostile towards outsiders, becoming incredibly defensive of some of the treasures that it holds, and tend to look towards nearly person as a threat of some sorts.

(i have no ideas for arcana rn)

they all, of course, hold great prejudice towards one another and if one gets in the way of the wrong people, that could be bad news.

munia sort of got into the crossfire kind of by accident since they're just sitting there. lands aren't really as good as growing crops as they did before so they kind of get creative with the food, and some of it isn't that great at all.

musou being probably the best place to live- but is also pretty expense if you want to live independently. the mansion is unchanged.

salty springs being like, the most isolated place- obviously- so they tend to not get a lot of news. it's close to being a ghost town at this point, though, with very few locals remaining there and supply trucks coming there at varied times.

dystopian theme, since dystopian themes are sexy- maybe there's some sort of island chain next to it, although it really isn't inhabited by people so more spaces for like character made cities.
