*RING* The phone starts ringing. It could be your friend, calling about the homework assignment. Or it could be a telemarketer, calling about some stupid product that you don't want.
Let it ring
The phone cuts to voicemail. "Son, I'm being held hostage at the old high school please come rescue me". Another voice cut into the recording. "Who is that? You're not trying to call for help, are you?" "No, no, it's just a reco-BEEEEEEEEEEP".

You need some sort of weapon, because this is bank robbers we're dealing with here. Looking through the shed, you find a old crowbar, and near it, a shovel.
Shovel
(A few minutes later...)
The school stands in front of you, staring you down like a bully on the playground. You grasp your trusty shovel and walk inside.

As soon as you walk in, you see a guard standing by the water fountain, getting a drink.
You could run up and attack him, or sneak away and hide in one of the lockers.
Fight
You run up to him and yell, "THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAA!" and start swinging your weapon at him.

You miss every single time, and the guard just looks at you. Then, he grabs your weapon and knocks you out cold with it!
That can't be good...
You wake up tied to a chair. You see your dad tied up next to you. "Hey son. I know you tried to take down that guard...But seriously? This is sparta?" "Dad! I'm going to get you out of here." "Yeah, I know. The only thing stopping us are these chairs."

Then you noticed they didn't tie up your legs. "Dad, listen. I got an idea." "What is it?"
"Dad, we can still get up and walk, because our legs aren't tied up." "That's a great idea!"
I bet it is.
So you and your dad got up and waddled out. As soon as you got out, you called the police.
"Wait a minute dad... Couldn't we have done this in the first place?"
