About-
This story is about four friends from Gilmore Park estate called Simbi, JJ, Kane & Eris who embark on a journey to reinvention after Kane is shot & JJ gets life for the retaliation. The film will tackle depression, loneliness, leaving the roads, being larger than life, the hidden effect of verbal & emotional abuse, the pressures of being the eldest child & the toxicity of parents


Characters-
Simbi- 20 year old woman from Gilmore Park that chills with JJ, Kane & Eris. She is a Class B drug dealer, occassional jack girl & university student that's passionate about music & helping others. She's fiery, driven, open-minded has all the attributes of a go-getter but is impulsive, has a very short temper & has a edge. She is also facing difficulties/challenges in other aspects of her life as she wants to become a A&R, she is being abused at home (verbally & emotionally), she is suffering from PTSD from a stabbing she was involved in & her studies have taken a toll on her. She is of Zimbabwe descent


Abdulla- 20 year old from Gilmore Park that is a Class A shotter with a crazy street cred built on murder & drug dealing who desires to be a 'legend on the streets' and doesn't have dreams/aspirations beyond the roads. Despite that, he is a good hearted person to all those he comes across, a die hard anime fan & makes it a rule to always pick up his little sister from school on Friday to eat ice cream with her. After Kane's shooting, he retaliates by committing double murder, cementing his name on the streets forever but is found guilty and sentenced to 35 years & his story arc consists of how his survives in prison & how he uses prison time to reinvent himself

Kane- 20 year old man from Gilmore Park that bangs F on a large degree, and is a well known hustler on the streets. He is a cunning, very driven and fixated on financial gain. He had dreams of being a MMA fighter but after the attempt on his life leaves permanent damage, it leaves a psychological effect on him. He then finds himself in a domestic violence situation, where he's being abused by his girlfriend.

Eris- 20 year old man from Gilmore Park who works in hospitality & is a jack boy who has dreams of becoming a entrepreneur. He is down-to-earth & has a vision beyond the roads, however he is dealing with getting fired from his job, his sister is terminally ill, and has held a violation in his own estate


Plot

1) Eris and a F boy called David are playing FIFA at his house, until somebody knocks on the door
2) The F boy opens the door to see three masked figures who attack him and tie him up (Abdulla, Kane & Simbi).. It is then revealed that Eris lined him up. They then torture & extort 30 grand and escape
3) The four friends then meet up at Kane's house the next day & discuss the current state of the area, their aspirations/goals & they provide commentary on the current issues that plague their age groups.
4) As Kane's girlfriend is coming over, the trio leave (Simbi & Eris take cab straight home, considering they are next door neighbours)
