Hampir semua sepakat bahwa peran utama seorang #supervisor terletak pada aktivitas Kontrol dan Pengembangan tim, Menariknya, dari 2 peran utama tsb, sering kali ditemukan kondisi bahwa supervisor lebih menitikberatkan pd aktivitas Kontrol. Coaching diartikan sbg pdekatan individu utk mengurangi intervensi yg mghambat potensi individu dlm mberikan performa terbaik.
Keliru jika #coaching ini hanya perlu diberikan pada staf yang mengalami masalah pada penjualan.
Tidak mudah menjadi seorang #coach, ada 4 kompetensi dasar yg perlu dimiliki seseorang yg ingin menjadikan coach.
Pertama. asking QUESTIONS yaitu kemampuan dan keberanian untuk bertanya pada orang yang kita bimbing.
Kedua. LISTEN for engagement yaitu kemampuan mendengar dan empati dgn masukan/keluh kesah orang yg dibimbing. #coaching
Ketiga. SUMMARIZING key ideas yaitu kemampuan menstrukturkan dan mengorganisasikan semua masukan/keluh kesah.
Keempat. GIVING feedback yaitu kemampuan memberikan saran/masukan yg membangun dan mencerahkan org yg dibimbing.
