Form I: Shii Cho: When learning how to use a lightsaber, all younglings should know something about this form. This form is the fir st and the most common form that every Jedi used. This lightsaber style was also used by Sith and apprentices to learn how to use the lightsaber. This lightsaber form is a defensive one.

Form II: Ma ka shi: When Sith and Dark Jedi got stronger, form I became useless for Jedi, so they developed this new form, it's also called the form of contention. This form was both offensive and defensive, it was balanced. The user could defeat the opponent without killing them and the user could only use on(e) hand in this form.

Form III: So re su: When blasters improved and they became stronger, form II became outdated and the Jedi needed a form which could block any potential attacks. This form was used instead of form II soon. Some of the skilled users of this form are Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Ken Obi.

Form IV: At ar u: This form is the form that the most skilled Sith and Jedi used. When the combat users were skilled, They invented an aggression form which has a strong connection on the user's strength, agility, and the force. A user of this form was Yoda.

Form V: Shi en & Dj em so: These forms were both defensive and aggressive, they given the users of these forms these opportunities to both defend and attack. These forms were similar to form III, but some of the Jedi believed that this form is not good for the Jedi faith, but still, both Sith and Jedi were using this form.

Form VI: Ni man: Also called the way of ran cor, this style was a combination of all other lightsaber styles, this style didn't have any combat techniques or weaknesses.

Form VII: Ju yo (Vaa pad): This is the last and the most aggressive form among the others. A user of this form was Mace Windu.
