Nate the Great woke up and looked out the window he saw a tortoise eating flowers in his garden.Nate or Sludge does not own any tortoise.Nate and Sludge ran outside the tortoise started to eat many more flowers.Nate liked looking at flowers but there won't be anymore.Nate stared at the tortoise it was green,thick,had a big appetite and no teeth.Then Nate was thinking what he should do with him.He knowed that he must live somewhere.Then he crawled away very very slowly i thought he was going home but he wasn't he went to go eat my violets.The tortoise needed help.Nate wrote a note to his mother then he put holes in a box a put the tortoise in the box.Nate was taking the tortoise home.Nate was thinking where was home he was thinking he perhaps did not go a very far from home.Then Nate thought the tortoise could of gone anywhere he knows how to find food.Sludge new the answer.Then we rushed to Rosamond's house with the tortoise.Sludge sniffed step by step.It was a trail of crumbs to the front door of Rosamond's house.Sludge scratched the door.Rosamond came out with two crumbling cupcakes.Her cats,Little Hex,Plain Hex,Big Hex,and Super Hex were eating crumbs off the ground.I have brought a tortoise Nate said.Then Rosamond opened the box and saw the tortoise.Rosamond did not want the tortoise and it was not hers.She then said that she heard that Clude lost something but i don't know what it is.Then Rosamond asked Nate if he wanted some tuna fish cupcake.Nate was hungry because he has not eaten breakfast but he was not that hungry so he said no.Me and Sludge said goodbye to Rosamond when Sludge was sniffing his way down the steps.Then Nate and Sludge went to Claude's house.Claude opened the door and i saw he has lost a sock on his left foot.I asked do you own a tortoise.Claude said no but can you help me find my sock Nate said no i have to get this tortoise home.Then me and Sludge went home with the tortoise.I ate pancakes when Sludge ate a bone.When we were done eating i thought about the tortoise so then we went to the veterinarian with the tortoise in the box. Cats were meowing dogs were barking then we saw Annie she said why do you have a tortoise only birds,goldfish,goats,pigs and wolves are aloud to be here.You should go to the reptile place.Then i Nate went to the reptile place and sat i saw animals with sharper teeth than Fang i did not want to get bitten so Nate thought that was a clue so they went home and got my magnifying glass and i looked for bite marks i followed a trail of bite marks on flowers then i saw Claudes sock in the plant.It was all bitten by the tortoise i put in my pocket.Then i saw a sign that said BEWARE OF THE TORTOISE.Then i lady came and said thank you for finding my tortoise he always escapes under the fence.Then we put Claudes sock on a stick where the tortoise lives.I Nate the Great and my dog Sludge have solved another case.
