~Chapter 1~
Duskcloud, a young warrior, son of Willowstar of Darkclan, crouched low, hoping to catch the squirrel he saw. Ready to pounce, Duskcloud flicked his light brown tabby tail. A rustle of leaves made the squirrel notice Duskcloud, and it scattered away.
‘’Cinderfall!?’’ Duskcloud hissed in annoyance.
Cinderfall, a small, gray tabby she-cat with golden eyes, sternly looked at Duskcloud.
‘’Stormfall wants to see you’’ Cinderfall mewed.
‘’And why’s that? Why not ask Leafwhisker, or Willowstar? Or even Starclan for the sake of it.’’
‘’Duskcloud, stop being so stubborn and listen to the Deputy. She’s not even just the Deputy to you, is she? She’s your best friend!’’
Duskcloud glared at Cinderfall, shook his head in defeat and padded towards Stormfall’s den.
Leafwhisker, Darkclan's medicine cat, glanced over to Duskcloud.
''Duskcloud! There's something-!'' Leafwhisker meowed
''So? Tell Willowstar or someone. I need to speak with Stormfall right now. So, not now. Sorry.'' Duskcloud interrupted.
Duskcloud entered the Deputy's den, his fur on end as he saw two emerald green eyes.
''Stormfall.''
Stormfall's tortoiseshell pelt gleamed in the light that came into the den.
''Duskcloud have you noticed your father has been acting strangely for the past couple of moons, d'you think he's sick?'' Stormfall said
''He's probably just tired.'' Duskcloud meowed in reply. ''How about you ask Leafwhisker?''
''But... What if Willowstar had lost a life?'' Stormfall said, worried.
Duskcloud glanced over to Stormfall for a solid minute, shook his head, fiercely and left the den.
''Willowstar's strong.. He couldn't of...'' he thought
