Rionach Steward adalah seorang wanita yang merupakan guru Defence Against the Dark Arts pertama di Ilvermorny. Ia adalah anak bungsu dari James Steward dan Isolt Sayre. Kedua kakak Rionach, Chadwik Boot dan Webster Boot memiliki marga yang berbeda karena mereka adalah kakak angkat Rionach. Sedangkan Martha adalah saudara kembar Rionach.
James dan Isolt mendirikan dan menamai sekolah ini sebagai Ilvermorny serta ke 4 house yang mereka namai sesuai pilihan mereka.

• Chadwick membuat Thunderbird
• Webster membuat Wampus.
Rionach dan Martha memiliki perbedaan. Rionach memiliki kemampuan sebagai penyihir. Sedangkan kembarannya, Martha adalah seorang squib sama seperti ayahnya. Squib adalah seseorang yang lahir di keluarga penyihir namun tidak bisa menyihir, tetapi mereka tidak sama dengan muggle. Mereka tetap bisa merasakan/melihat hal-hal gaib seperti penyihir.
Rionach memilih keputusan untuk tidak menikah dan mengajar di Ilvermorny untuk waktu yang terhitung lama, ia mewarisi sebuah kemampuan dari leluhurnya dahulu, Salazar Slytherin yaitu kemampuan Parseltongue atau parselmouth.
Sedangkan Martha memilih untuk menikah. Suaminya belum diketahui pasti apakah dia squib juga atau muggle, yang pasti seseorang berwargakenegaraan Amerika. Awalnya mereka berteman namun akhirnya menikah.
