Technology of Memory: Self Reflection
- Group collaboration can be quite difficult
- Out of comfort zone but developing helpful skills
- The studio can be quite an intimidating space
Walk Around Elephant & Castle
During the walk, I focused more on documenting the walk rather than the theme of fludity. I argued with myself that my images represent the reality of the walk. I aimed to create visually asetheic images that resemebled my 'style' of photography.
During the feedback the following week after taking the images, I identified my work as quite 'structural' and this led to me thinking greatly about what my style of photography actually is. For research, I looked at the work of Michael Wolf
In comparison to the last two week cycle, I found fludity as a theme to be harder than the technology of memory.
Poor Image
In the lecture, we discussed the idea of a poor image and what qualities make a poor image.
During our time in the Tate, on my phone I took images of the projector in the Nan Golding exhibition. The darkness in the room led to poor quality images of the projection.
