There’s a lot more interaction with non-player characters that are part of the enviromental. There are persistent characters that come and go and some are there all the time that you’ll interact with. Some are involved in storylines, there is an adventuring element to the game

Players will be able to compete. The competition can take different forms.

You’ll have a profile as a player and you’ll have creatures that you create that you can name in that way similar to Animal Jam

Yes, you can switch between creatures. There are unique aspects to that too but the short answer is Yes you h]can have multiple characters that you created in one user account

Number of avatars and one to reveal

The character creator itself has so much depth and so much power to it.
Like you can start with one animal (Eg A Kitsune) and have have something that looks completely wild and different and have it completely unique to you. If you create a look in Feral it’s really just YOUR look. Anyone else might be able to replicate it exactly but really, it’s kinda your baby.

In Animal Jam, there will be a lot of base animals as the game grows. The difference is that the creatures here are from mythologies all over the world, it won’t just be the mythological animals that you are familiar with from Greek or Norse Mythology, we’re drawing from everywhere in the world.

Customization

You can stretch and deform limbs and control different sizes and proportions of an animal and there will be a Photoshop-like color wheel where you can be very precise and specific about the colors your selecting for different things

A lot of the trading and accessories and things like that in Feral that also drive a lot of interaction in Animal Jam.
Some things can be crafted yourself. As you play the game you will find recipes for crafting different things that mabye nobody discovered yet and you’ll find ways to tweak it in a way that nobody has and create an item that’s unique and nobody else has one like it. In Feral, you might be trading for things of which only one exists and ever will.

For the Crafting items

You CAN trade the items as you crafted them. And you will gather the materials out in the world and find materials. You’ll come to master different paths of spell-casting , find different magical ways to use items in the environment to create or enhance an object that you’ve crafted

What seperates your necklace from someone else’s is yours might have this ethereal glow when it’s in the presence of a certain animal. And yours would be the only one that does it cuz of a certain spell you put on it.

Will there be Trading Posts

We won’t wait for the community to design said posts like they did in Animal Jam. Feral’s trading system will be much more robust and easy to use and learn the lessons that the community has taught us.

Ingame currency and undoing crafting spells

Yes, there are forms of currency.
Yes, some are temporary and some can be reversed.

Custom dens and den items

OMG Yes, beyond anything that we ever even conceived in Animal Jam
We want this to be a place where you can create amazing environments that you can share in your social media where you can shoot videos in that you can inhabit as a character. To set up scenes in Feral where you couldn’t create and film or photograph anywhere else. The environment and charcaters you create are far beyond anything attemptedmin Animal Jam.

Teleporting across the map

The way the environment is constructed in Feral is a little different. There are center piece locations that can be thought of as a bubble and straw level design.
Like Natural Gathering Places like cities and Trading areas
And then there’s the Expanses, it’s more unpredictable and it can change and not be the same from the first time you walk through the same paths to get to town.

There are ways to get around faster, but what happens in the expanse is an adventure in and out of itself. You won’t just be jumping from place to place necessarily

Seasonal Items and Celebration

This is a dynamic living world that will change and that does have its own festivals you could say. Since it’s a reality show for mythological animals, it has events taking place in the world at a time they are being staged by the factions that created this world it’s entertainment. There are live operations int he worlds that aren’t static, it will change seasonally and it will change with how it is.

Will a younger version of Animal Jam be made

Feral goes from the years 8 to 20 so next they will go much younger, it just makes sense. The next property after Feral is to look where the kids will be after they age into Animal Jam. And Feral is where they will be after.

What you are excited for about Feral, any other little things to hunt at?

There will be couple of features that are super cool that cannot be detailed yet.
BUT I can say, Feral will tie into your other social media accounts in ways no other game has. And it’s really cool to have a general benefit to users. Artistically it’s never seen before, the problem we have now is there are so many ideas on where it can go next, how it will grow and what the next things to do are.
