SUSTAINABILITY AND REDEFINING THE ARCHITECUTRE
Sustainability is a concept which aims to increase quality of life. It should preserve balance and bring harmony . To provide it, sustainability development should be considered. There are different concepts of Sustainibility Development such as human development participatory development, ethical development etc. The concepts are important. However, some of them are more enabled for Architecture. Architecture can bring social, human-centered spaces unharmful for nature. Soma passive design approachs create a new against over use of energy which is harmful for economic balance. On the other hand, these concepts are very limited and far from appliyng in wide range of world. To provide it in wide range of the world, the definiton of architecture should be redefined and involve the sustainability so that sustainable concepts are applied in arcihtecture in natural way.
To provide a sustainable developemt with architectural approachs, the concepts of sustainability must be the parts of design proggress. After the philosphy of sustainability embraced into architecture, the concepts that ensure economic, ecologic and natural sustainability, are provided into the spaces from microscale ( small housings) to macroscale (city) with using new techiniques or new materials.
After redefining of arcihtecture in terms of sustainibility, architecture can gain different effect on social life. Unhealthy spaces will be ciriticized like ugly builidngs criticized today. Structures that harmful for ecology will be not accepted because they have good effects on people in terms of their formal qualities. It is not an easy aim but it must be gained to create a sustainable developed society in future which does not affected by political situation or majorities ideas.
Redefining the architecture is a must but in close future, it is unexpected. We should not wait until we provided the redefining. We have to create a new concepts that can be applied on todays stuctures to protect nature from arcihtecture,designing less cost structures and creating a space for all society's favour.
To conclude, we have to provide "the redefining" to architecture to create "balanced and harmonical life".
