Thought shower:
The target audience for this play will be teenagers and above as it is to do with bad cases of mental illnesses. In this play the character i will play is the best friend of the main character. The other characters in this play are: a girl with a mental illness, another best friend, two people that go to a youth group, a youth worker and two paramedics.
Plot:
In scene one, we have a tableau about what will happen at the end of the play which is Phoebe lying on the floor dead, two paramedics, her dad amd also her two best friends. I stand up and do my monologue. When i finish everyone but me and Izzy go to the centre of the stage to form a youth group whilst me and Izzy do thrust staging miming a conversation waiting for phoebe to finish her session at the youth group. At the youth group every talks an=bout there mental illnesses and Morgan does his monologue. After he finishes Phoebe asks to leave and come up to Izzy and I telling us that she is finished.
In scene 2, we use split staging so stage left is phoebe's bedroom and stage right is still the youth group. Me and Izzy asks Phoebe questions about the youth group whilst the other side stays frozen. Me and Izzy go to the other side of Phoebe's bedroom whilst Phoebe stands up to do her monologue. After she finishes it me and Izzy both join her to sit down on. She takes some pills for her headache and we move the focus onto the youth group with a spotlight and we stay still. The youth group is mainly focused on Leonie's monologue. When she finishes me, Phoebe and Izzy both go to the centre front of the stage using thrust staging as a mirror. Phoebe stands on the first step of the stage whilst me and Izzy stand behind her side by side. Phoebe starts telling us how much she hates her body and me and Izzy starts to disagree. So she starts to shout at us so Izzy and I storm off.
In scene 3, the whole stage is used as the living room. Morgan turns into the character of Phoebe's dad, Leonie and Donny turn into sofas that me and Izzy lean on. Phoebe walks in from the right and tells use she feels dizzy. Whilst walking forward she trips up over my legs and died. We hold the same tableau that we did and the very begging of the play. Donny does his monologue first then Izzy does hers after. The lights switch off then its the end of the play.
Costume design:
In the play my hair is down, and I have no makeup as I am an average lazy teenager. I would wear
