I have a small ghost story, but it's more weird than spooky. I used to work in a small museum a few towns over from mine in the middle of coastal Scotland. Along with giving tours of the museum I was also given the task of giving tours of the graveyard that was next door to it. In the grave yard we had old, normal Victorian graves however, bang smack in the middle of the grave yard was this building, which was a 'tomb' of sorts for a rich man's wife, built in the 1600. The short version of the tale is, the man's wife was down at the towns annual farming fair on her horse, when suddenly the horse was spooked, she fell off and when she hit the ground the horse's back legs connected with her skull, the blunt force killing her. Her husband became deeply depressed, and decided that he couldn't live with his life like he had anymore, she had been kind and gentle while he and his family were raging wars with other small towns and villages. So he decided to give up his ways, payed the local church a huge amount of money and had a private room and aisle added onto the church, where he had huge glass stained windows, hand sculpted angels and a hand panted roof where he had his different things painted like the seasons, the zodiacs, religious symbols, his wife etc, However, this was not just a private room for pray, because under it, he built a cellar where he had his wife buried in a led coffin and had another led coffin built for himself. He went there everyday to pray, according to the small amount of records that had been kept and re-written for the museum. So here we get to the actual spooky part! When I first started working there, I met with the old lady who ran the place, she was an amazing woman, kind but strict. She let me get comfortable and let me take tours my own way, let me interact with the guests and answer their questions in a way that was comfortable for me, however she had one rule, never let anyone go into the cellar room alone. I thought it was a bit weird but I was like, sure, okay. So this one time I'm taking a tour, a family with young kids. The tour is going fine until we reach the 'tomb', Now the 'tomb;' is locked and every time we take someone to see it, we have to unlock it, so as I'm unlocking the one door, the mother starts to cry. I'm confused and ask if she's okay, and she replies that she just couldn't help it, that she could feel her pain. This freaked me out slightly but I let it slide and let them in. So I'm telling them about it and showing them the roof when I suddenly notice one of the children are missing. I look around before I see the cellar door is open. Freaking out because I didn't want to get in trouble I quickly went down and found the child but he was just staring at one of the graves. I go up to him and ask him if he's okay, and if he could please come back up, and he looks back to me with wide eyes and asks if I can see the 'sad old man'. Now this utterly freaks me out and I tell him I can't. The kid then looks back to the coffin and stays silent before turning back to me and tells me that the 'sad old man' can see me and that he hears me telling his story. After that the kid went back up with me and I quickly finished the tour, the rest of the family went down to the cellar with me, and I hurried them out. That's the most notable ghost experience I've had, but there was plenty of other things that happened there from old toys being moved in the main museum to the CCTV randomly cutting out when we were looking at the cameras. The cellar part of the 'tomb' has also sadly been sealed off due to dampness which is a shame because the led coffins were pretty cool to look a
