life in the military is actually a tricky thing, you see there are many things that are not allowed to be talked about but there are so many things that people need to hear yet no one wants to hear them. The military is a place where they say we are one big family and you can always come to them about your struggles, yet when you do come forth and speak to them they want to push you off to mental health or whom ever they can. when you speak to mental health the only thing they seem to want to do is think without a doubt you are going to harm yourself because of your struggles. like no I don't want to harm myself I want to learn ways to better help myself to handle and overcome these situations. your chain of command wants to tell you oh I have your back if you need anything we will help you through it but than just a short time after they go on about their business like nothing ever happened. morale in our commands are so bad that we hate going to work every day the only thing we look forward to is when we get to go home and sleep. we chose to do this job yes but we thought it would be better community, growing up we all saw and heard how the military was a great thing, how sacrificing your life for your country was an honor, but once we joined and started our careers it didn't really seem that way it was more of a bad decision.
