Oh no, please don’t look now, but here she comes, she’s got that smile, the sun shining on her as though a spotlight, the ground below us lifts up we ascend to the stars, she says to me “let it out” as I begin to confess the feelings kept locked away in my heart lock and chain at all times, guarded by my fear of being hurt, by the scarcity of love I’ve felt since back then, am I making a mistake?
My heart & I the same level we are. Everyday I awake to the thought of her, as I rise I think of the good ahead, the dark behind, as my shadow is cast the bad lingers away, needing to be a constant but not to be driven away for good, only to be kept at bay by the feelings of life, the good of others, it was all my fault, now it’s all out, for good, for bad, for us, for all I am who I am with her, without her, the sun will still shine, though not as bright, I am not defined by one single person, nor a feeling, the days seem shorter as my feelings of love grow, maybe this is who was meant to be?
