Connor stopped right in front of Evan, His frown still on. Evan opened his mouth to say, "Hi," but before he could, Conner punched him square in the face. Evan fell on the ground flat, groaning in pain. Connor grabbed Evan's shirt collar and pulled him up into a standing position. Evan blinked away the black spots that danced in his eyes. When they were gone, all he could see was Connor's frown. "Hi," Evan said weakly. Connor scoffed. "You lied about me." Evan looked down at the grass. "Yes, I did." "You created a fake Connor." "Yes, I did." "One that was not like me in any way." Evan choked. Tears stung in his eyes. He nodded glumly. "I'm sorry." There was a silence for a while. The tree's branches swayed in the sudden breeze. the grass let go of a sweet scent that Evan couldn't identify. Suddenly, Connor let go of Evan's collar. Evan looked up, confuses. What- Connor gave him a hug. For a few seconds, Evan was stunned. Connor spoke softly, "Thank you." He pulled away from him and added, "I always wanted to be Fake Connor, but I just never knew how." Evan just stared at him. Then he chuckled. Then he started to giggle. The next minute, he was on the ground laughing. Connor stiffened. "What?" He demanded. "What's so funny?" Evan tried to breathe. When he was done, he took a shaky breath and said, "I made you sound like air supply." Connor straightened and looked at him funny. Then he joined in, chuckling uncontrollably. Evan lost it again as well. Connor shook his head, smiling. He held his hand out to Evan. "Alright, get up." Evan took his hand. He calmed down, but was left with hiccups. He looked around and asked, "Where are we?" Connor's smile fell away. He put a hand on Evan's shoulder and guided him towards the tree. "Let's talk in the shade, hmm?" ~End~
