Apex Legends Season 2 Heirloom Set (Bloodhound Knife Coming?)
Hey guys Sethly here back with another apex legends video, I hope your all having a fantastic day. In this video we are going to be covering some leaks that hint towards Bloodhound getting an heirloom set. Lets start with the basics, if you don't know what an heirloom set it, an heirloom set is the rarest set of skins you can currently get in Apex. It has less than a 1% drop rate but if you open 400 packs without getting it then you are garunteed to get it in your 400th pack. Right now there is only one heirloom set and it is for wraith. At EA play they announced a lot of new stuff regarding skins and the battle pass for season 2 but they didn't mention a new heirloom set. However, with all the announcements for Season 2, I think it is very unlikely that we wont get a new heirloom set in season 2. In an interview, Drew McCoy, the Project Lead at Respawn, when asked about heirlooms he said "currently it is a set of items for wraith" which implies that there will be more heirloom sets for different legends in the future and they likely already have them done. I have always thought that BLoodhound would be the next to get an heirloom because bloodhound is often shown with a different knife in official apex legends photos. So I was very happy when I found out that we do have some new info regarding a new heirloom set, thanks to my dataminer friend named "That1MiningGuy" on twitter, Ill make sure to link him down in the description, he knows a lot about apex and is a really good guy so if you want to, go check him out. But he recently tweeted out that he believes the next character to get an heirloom will be bloodhound and showed a set of files that he found that say gcard_stance_bloodhound_heirloom_01_Name and character_intro_quip_bloodhound_heirloom_01_name. Which makes it looks like Bloodhounds heirloom is already in the works if its not already done. He also showed a set of files that reference a dataknife, which is a tool used by Pilots in Titanfall 1 and 2 So Once I saw this tweet I had to talk to him about it so I asked him if he had seen any other files for an heirloom besides the ones for bloodhound's data knife and he said "well im not 100% sure it is the data knife, but no no other files for heirlooms other than the entry for Bloodhound's upcoming one." Once I saw this I thought about it and I came to the conclusion that I don't think bloodhounds heirloom will be a data knife because Bloodhound isnt a Pilot, so the data knife files are likely left over from Titanfall. But bloodhound does have a different knife so I sent thatminingguy a picture of official bloodhound art that shows the other knife and he said "thats not a data knife though, thats in the files as combat_knife". Later that day he messaged me a picture of a model that he found in the files that could be for bloodhound's heirloom and said its untextured in the files right now. I knew I had seen the model of the machete type weapon before but I knew it wasn't something used in bloodhounds finishers. So I was pretty happy when I found found a pose called the blademaster pose where bloodhound uses the machete. So I messaged thatminingguy and he said that the model used in the pose is in a different place from the other machete model that he found. I thought that was a really good sign so I asked him if it was and he said that its a great thing. Then he also mentioned that there is a skin for it that he just can't export it, which is another great sign. He said he couldnt show off what the skin looks like because the texture can't be exported with his toolset and he showed what it looks like when he does export it. After that I asked him if the skin was named in the files but he said no its encrypted so the file name is just a bunch of numbers and letters. The final thing is that he also showed me how the action figure of bloodhound that was shown at ea play is also holding a machete, which is another good sign. Thats pretty much everything we currently know about the next heirloom set that will hopefully come out in season 2, but obviously none of this is offically confirmed by Respawn but it is definitely looking like bloodhound will be the next to get an heirloom.
