Apex Legends New Map Name Revealed by Bug?
Hey guys, Sethly here back with another Apex Legends video, today we are going to be covering a new bug that revealed a name that could be the name of a new map coming. Im also going to be going over some concepts for a new apex map. Lets get right into it. First off there was a reddit post from a few days ago, link in description, that showed this on someone's xbox. As you can see it is someone on his friends list that is playing Apex Legends and it says "Apex Legends - Playing Multiplayer - In Genister" Once people saw this on reddit, everyone tried to figure out what it could be, at first people thought it might be a different language or a translation bug but there were about 20+ people who tried to find this word in any language and it couldnt be found. Also the original poster said that this friend speaks English and clearly the rest of the words besides genister are in english and even the capitalization is correct. Since, Kings Canyon is what usually shows up in place of the word Genister, this very well could be a bug caused by left over files, now if it is the name of the new map. Nobody really knows but I think it definetly could be or maybe its the name of the training map but that doesn't show up for other people who are in the training map so I think it is a bug caused by left over files. Hopefully it is the name of a new map or at least the name of a new training map where you can test out all guns, legends, and attachements. Also if you didn't know, a few weeks ago, the devs said in an announcement about the future of apex legends "you didn't expect Kings Canyon to stay the same forever did you?" Obviously this clearly hints at changes coming to Kings Canyon in Season 2, I made a full video covering all the teasers and hints about the map changes a few weeks ago so definitly check that out if you haven't already. While I think that changes to Kings Canyon will be very fun and has a lot of potential I think an entirely new map would be even better and so does the community. But the good news is, they have confirmed that there will be new maps eventually so hopefully a new map would come out in Season 3 at the latest. I also want to talk about another name that was mentioned in Lifeline's lore. You can check my other video out if you want to hear the whole lore but in the letter of Lifeline's storyline, it mentions a place called "Prarie Canyon" which definitly could be the name of a different apex map/arena for the apex games or maybe an old apex arena that was abandoned. Recently ive been thinking a lot about the potential of a new map and ive come up with a concept that I think would be very cool if it were to be implemented as a map, or at least something like this. I think that a new map that has a few different biomes of different climates/weather like a snow section of the map, a foggy section of the map, and a few others. I chose this because Kings Canyon has a few different types of terrain, and I personally love Kings Canyon, and I don't think a new map with only one terrain like a snow terrain would be very good but if there were multiple different types of terrain and weather then it would be a lot more interesting. Also, if you guys didn't know, Kings Canyon was originally used by the IMC for its resources during the Frontier War but was later abandoned, hence why there is a repulsor on the map and other militiary things like an Artillery Base so I wouldn't be surprised if the IMC created other bases of operations on different parts of the planet that Kings Canyon is on. This is why I think that in this concept map, it would be really cool to not only have different biomes but also recreations of previous titanfall maps, like angel city, that were abandoned and repurposed for the Apex Games like Kings Canyon was.
