A flower, a man, and a tale.

There sits a flower, a flower like any other it’s missing a few petals but still it sits and it waits for the sun to rise to absorb the light so freely given by the loving sun.


Here sits a man, a man not like others he is missing a lot, mainly his sanity and his happiness. He doesn’t remember a time where he wasn’t so cold, a time where he didn’t believe that he’d been left alone to suffer, a pessimistic view of the world, unable to believe good could come his way, waiting, waiting, forever and always waiting he will be for the warm embrace of death to take him from the world he finds too cold to live in anymore.

The wind blows strong this day, it takes the flower away from its resting spot, onto an adventure to the unknown of the vast world unbeknownst to the flower, long be the journey, almost never ending it appears, until finally it does stop, it stops upon a curious sight.

The man still waiting for the day to come, the sun rises for some reason it appears brighter than usual, the wind suddenly picks up and the man feels something strange touch his leg, looking down he does see the flower, upon seeing it he is reminded of her, the girl who did favor this certain flower, seeing its missing petals he is reminded of the times he patched this girl up always there to pick her up when she was down he was.

The sun finally fully risen it’s bright light shines upon the man now renewed in his faith of the world remembering how kind and caring he once was, he is reminded by this flower that no matter how many times we are lost, we always have a path we can take, long may be the journey but we can never find our happiness without taking risks.

The flower slowly withering away over the years as the man who’s hope was restored continued on in his journey to find his happiness and find his home, no longer awaiting his death, instead awaiting adventures in hopes of finding another, another one like her, the flower that did find him twice now for lighting may not strike the same spot twice but surely does fate.
