Een plant is een organisme en bestaat uit organen.
Elk orgaan heeft zijn eigen bouw en taak. Onderdelen van een plant zijn:
helemaal bovenaan zit de bloem. Die zorgt ervoor dat de plant zaden kan vormen.
Onder de bloem zit de Vrucht. De vrucht kan bijvoorbeeld de Tomaat zijn, of de Boon. De plant maakt deze vrucht.
Onder de vrucht zit het Zaad. Hiermee kan de plant zich voortplanten.
Onder het zaad zit het blad. Tussen de Nerven die door het blad lopen zit het Groene blad. Daar maakt het blad zijn eigen voedingsstoffen.
De nerven vervoeren opgeloste stoffen en water, en geven stevigheid aan het blad.
Onder het blad zit de Stengel. Deze is belangrijk voor het vervoer van water en opgeloste naar het Blad en de Bloem. Zo gaat het ook andersom. De stengel houd de plant ook overeind.
Nu hebben we nog de wortels. Met de wortels zuigt de plant water op en daarin zitten allerlei opgeloste stoffen die nodig zijn voor de groei van de plant. Ook zorgt dat water dat Kruidachtige planten goed en stevig in de bodem staan.
