Jenis kedua dari sistem pikiran :
- Subsconcious Mind.
Subsconcious mind atau pikiran bawah sadar merupakan proses pikiran yang bertanggung jawab terhadap penyimpanan memori jangka panjang dan pengekspresian emosi.
Pikiran bawah sadar sulit dikendalikan, karena berfungsi secara otomatis tanpa disadari.
Fungsi utama dari pikiran bawah sadar ini ada banyak, seperti memproses kebiasaan, perasaan, memori jangka panjang, persepsi kepribadian, intuisi, kreativitas, dan keyakinan.
Contoh:
Ash sedang asik berjalan di lapangan quidditch. Tiba-tiba, sebuah bola melayang ke arah wajahnya. Ash refleks mengangkat kedua tangannya untuk melindungi wajahnya dari ciuman bola tersebut.
Refleks ini salah satu contoh dari pikiran bawah sadar.
Pikiran sadar didasarkan pada logika sedangkan pikiran bawah sadar didominasi oleh rasa dan emosi.
- Unconscious mind atau pikiran tidak sadar.
Pikiran tidak sadar merupakan sebuah sistem yang mengontrol fungsi tubuh dan hal ini tidak dapat dikendalikan. Misalnya pernapasan, kekebalan tubuh, kedipan mata, jantung, dan fungsi tubuh lainnya.
