INTRODUCTION

Erasmus+ KA1 VET is a project that gives the opportunity to students to realize an internship experience abroad and allows them to fit into a work environment.

It was surely useful because we learned new concepts and enter into a relationship with the territory and the services that it offers.

It is also important to touch the concepts studied at school, because it is an experience of growth, of intellectual and human formation.

In fact it helped me to be always in contact with professional figures of reference my supervisor Ruairi O hEara , with other people and with the realities that surround me .



HOST COMPANY

Tours of Derry is an award-winning tour provider, working across the North of Ireland / Ulster.

Operated by local man Ruairi O hEara, across the North of Ireland, one of the longest established and experienced tour guides.

Ruairi and the team offered commissioned walking and coach tours for different groups visiting our beautiful Country.

Guided tours are offered throughout Northern Ireland in English, Gaeilge and Spanish.



WORK EXPERIENCE:

I participated in this project during the months of September and October of 2018, and I spent 4 weeks in Derry in Northern Ireland.

My job was located in the Foyle International Language School that collaborated with the organization that I worked with , which was Tour of derry. My job was to work with other people (including other trainees) to improve the advertising aspect of a tour operator in order to offer the best tourist packages to discover not only the city of Derry but also the whole Northern Ireland. Initially we worked together as a group to discuss the ideas we had to improve and to make the site more attractive, then we were separated and each of us owned his own office where we could concentrate to work specifically on a particular package by creating brochures, leaflets and posters. The employer informed us of the date on which the work had to be completed and checked our work several times a week. In addition to guaranteeing a better understanding of our work, he invited us to some of his guided tours of the city. Instead out of working hours we had time to explore the whole region together with our tutors and the rest of participants.



CONCLUSION:

in conclusion it was an experience that helped me develop and improve my communication skills in English thanks to family accommodation and a very welcoming and professional working environment in all its aspects
