这个夏天，为了一些看似完全不相关的事情，很多人都过得很辛苦。而无法理解这种辛苦，则会让它变得更具伤害性。立场给人一种安慰和舒适，但立场之争却常常让人眼盲耳聋。如果文字和图像开始吞噬现实，那么精神分裂就会成为健康唯一的标准。我们喜欢说自己是善良的，却经常喊打喊杀。我们认为自己是理智的，却总是看到什么就相信什么。我们梦想自己是成功的，却除了挣钱想不出其他的热爱。虽然这些都不仅是由于个人的原因，但在自己面前假装相信我们拥有自己没有的东西，我们失去的就会是自己。
对生活不满不会让人抑郁，但假装开心也许会。“cool”其实应该是“凉”的意思：没有那么热，没有那么流行，甚至也没有那么地特立独行。更多的时候，cool只是对自己的诚实。所以关于这个夏天，我想讲一个听上去特别不具体，但实际特别具体的事。它让我明白，我们曾孤独地走在同一条路上，但我们也可以拥抱着遍地开花。这个夏天也许会让人忍不住流泪，可即使哭好像很不酷，我仍然觉得，知道自己为什么哭，很酷。
