After Kana's last minute endorsement, she was excited to be going to the Rose Endorsement Gala. Since he ran the Pokémon League, Rose held a Gala every time a new gym challenge started. All of the new endorsed trainers, the people who endorsed them, gym leaders, and E4 members.

Andi wore a deep crimson colored dress. The bodice was covered in sequins and was strapless with a heart shaped chest line. The skirt was large and tulle-ish. Her hair was up in a tight romantic tuck with little strands down at the sides. She. Hated. It. So Much. She was completely out of her element, kept on having to adjust the bodice, and couldn't stand having her hair done in such a fashion.

Kana was having the time of her life. Her ballgown was light mauve with a sweetiecute off the shoulder cut. Her hair was- okay, Imma just say it like it is. It's Lillie's Z-Power hairstyle and she has "Sana Fancy Ponytail Bangs". Im too tired to write more a description. She was loving every second of it. The skirts bounciness combined with the ponytail's bounciness just captured her personality so well.


Andi and Kana had arrived together. Kana had only been in Galar a very short while, and had yet to meet any of the people Andi knew. She was just grateful to have been endorsed the way she had. Opal was an actress, a dancer, and also gym leader. She saw a video of Kana's audition for a girl group and thought she was amazing. When she heard she did some battling, she knew she wanted this girl to have a shot at being the champion.

"So, Kana. I met some kids a week ago when I first came here. They're pretty decent people. Wanna meet em?" Andi asked her overexcited friend.

Kana's eyes lit up even more. "Yes!! Please!!" she seemed very excited.

"They're right the-"

"Hello! My name is Kana Hoshizaki!" Kana was already introducing herself.

"Um, hi. I'm Hop. This is Victor."

"Hello, Hop! Hello Victor!"

"Kana! You can't run off like that! Arceus..."

"Oh! I am sorry!"

"Oh hey, Andi. Good to finally see you again." Hop said.

"You too. This is my friend, Kana. She's from Hoenn. English is her second language, just so you know."

"Again, very nice to meet you!! I was um... The uh, the word..." she leaned over to Andi and they had a short whisper conversation. "I was endorsed! Was endorsed by Opal. I like fairy types and singing and dancing." she smiled brightly as she introduced herself. "Oh! And I am from Lilycove City. In Hoenn."

"I'm Sword. I was endorsed by Sonia. I like.. Pokémon battles I guess."

"I'm Hop, my brother Leon endorsed me. My goal is to finally beat him in a battl and step out of his shadow."

Kana put her hands together and smiled. "Those are very nice things! You two are very nice!!!"

Victor smiled. "Thanks. Your English is pretty good by the way."

"Oh! Thank you! I have been practicing a lot! I am very happy you see!"

"Alright. So. What do we even do at this party." Andi asked.

"Stand around, eat food. Sounds like a party to me." Hop said shrugging with a bit of sarcasm.

Kana glanced around. She tapped on Andi's shoulder. "Hm?"

"Get drink?" Kana was always more comfortable talking to Andi. They had been friends so long that Andi very easily understood most of her broken English.

"Oh, yeah, sure. I'll be here if you need me."

"You? Want?"

"Nah I'm good." Kana smiled, nodded, and happily walked over to the table with the bowl of punch on it.



She looked at the bowl. There was a seethrough amber colored liquid in it. She was hesitant of it at first, but decided to try some. She sipped the drink. It was somewhat warm, and had a lovley apple flavor to it, with some tart, bitter undertones. She felt a warm tingling sensation in her stomach. She liked it. She quikckly gulped down that cup. She poured herself another cup and did the same thing. She was starting to feel a little bit lightheaded, but also calm and happy. Two cups quickly turned into five. That lightheaded and obliviously happy feeling was more prevalent now, but she decided to not have any more.

It was probably too much hard cider for a 13 year old girl who unknowningly just drank alchohol for the first time. The legal drinking age in Hoenn was 16. In Galar, it was 12. Not too many kids actually did drink at that age, most waited for 16 which was the more common age in other regions, but that didn't stop it from being allowed.

Andi hadn't seen Kana in a while. She got worried. She wasn't at the punch table. She saw her in the hotel courtyard (the gala was being held at a dummy fancy hotel). She let out a sigh of relief and then went to go find her.

She was blissfully walking around in the garden, in awe of every little leaf she saw. She looked like an excited child at Pikaland for the first time. Andi let out an amused huff and shook her head. She walked over to where Kana was.

"Hey, Kei. I got a bit concerned about you. Glad to see you're okay. How was the punch?"

"Oh! It was amazing! It was very yummy, and it made me feel very happy!" her speech was slightly slurred and full of giggles.

Andi gave her a confused look. "Kei? You... Okay?"

"I have never been better!" she said in an almost singsongy tone. Andi gave her an unsure nod. "It is weird weird how people will act like purple hair is soooo weird? I know many many people with purple hair. You, Ms. Anabel, Iris, Shauntal, Acerola, and many many many more! It really is that common!"

"Kana are you sure youre alright? "

"Mmmmmhhhhhmmmmmm!" Kana started to clumsily dance around the courtyard whilst mumbling a song in Japanese. She tripped but just in time for Andi to catch her.

"Alright. Something ain't right here."

"Wowww Andi you're really stronggg"

"Did that punch have alcohol in it by any chance?"

"Pssshhhh nooooo I don't thINk so"

"Keikana Hoshizaki. Did that punch contain alcohol"

Kana giggled and booped Andi's nose. " baka baka baka baka baka"

"all the answers I need"

"nani.." Kana said with very slurred speech. Andi sighed. "Alright. You need rest."

They managed to get to the hotel room and Kana only fell down once. "Andiii I wanna partyyyy!"

"Kana. You are drunk."

"nani osake"

"I don't know what youre saying. Now get some sleep."

"Slllweeep, saleeepy sweepy"

"go to bed, silly"



Drunk Kana is a joy to write.

Anoter reendition of the gala scene. It got me thinking about what these two would be like if drunk. It makes me think of Vergo's post about Looker and Anabel drunk. Kana acts more like Anabel when drunk and Andi acts more like Looker when drunk.
