The maidens are dedicated to Ezeth, who is traditionally referred to as: the great mother and represents fertility, pleasure, motherhood, bounty and beauty, she is often depicted in tapestries and murals as being an unusually tall and well-endowed woman with pure white eyes, holding a sword in her left hand and a jug full of water on her right hand, she is also always depicted as being permanently pregnant.
The maidens' job is to attend to most womanly needs of their neighbors such as give blessings of fertility and bounty in their goddess' stead, offer medicine and treatment to diseases unique to women, give relationship advice and even assist in childbirth.
