Calculating the average of all the abortion estimates and the numbers provided per legal requirements via Planned Parenthood last year, there were roughly 750,000 abortions conducted in the US in 2018. Using the same estimates (Albeit with more volatile numbers due to no concrete information from PP), there have been roughly 532,000 abortions in the US and US territories (Which were not part of the previous equation) in 2019. Please, enlighten me as to how you got "millions" when talking about abortions? At the worst case calculation that I'm sure you're using, there are a maximum of 1.4 million abortions that were conducted in the last 2 years in the US and US territories. Considering the standard unit of measurement for statistics is yearly, it doesn't even hit a single million, much less multiple million. Now that we have the math out of the way, let's talk morality. You redirected the original purpose of the tweet that you quoted, which was that the death penalty had no place in a reasonable society, to make it into a jaded PSA about what I'm sure you see as baby slaughterhouses. First off, who asked for your opinion? Second off, even if someone *did* ask for your opinion, you redirected the conversation to the "murder" of babies. That wasn't the conversation, Judy. Why do you condemn the murder of one group of humans but endorse it for another? You say that the only crime the babies have committed is existing and cry for them to live their lives, but are so ready to cut down someone who may have just made a serious mistake. If you condone murder of one human, where does that line get drawn? Once they are able to make their own decisions? Does that make them any less eligible for forgiveness in the eyes of God? Moving past where you redirected the conversation from, you brought it to abortion. Why would you condemn said baby to a lifetime of hardships because their parent(s) weren't prepared for a child? You can say that they should have protected themselves all you want, but condoms break, IUD's fail, and Birth Control pills dissolve at a different rate and have different effectiveness depending on the users diet, weight, mental health state, and even their ancestry. Even if they did everything right, there's no way to guarantee that you only have a child when you want one. So, if said parents are unprepared, why would you set them down a path that leads to poverty, starvation, malnutrition, lack of access to healthcare, and making them 23x (!) more likely to commit serious crimes? By using your own logic, you endorse forcing a pregnant woman to term, who quite possibly can not support or birth the baby safely, just to let that child grow up into a criminal that you'll want killed later. Let's also just mention that children don't develop a full consciousness until they are toddlers. Way older than is possible to abort.
