This will be my 3rd week exercising daily. Each day, I've been trying to complete different workouts and exercise different parts of my body. The activity that I enjoy the most is running because I'm able to clear my mind on my runs while listening to music. At first, I didn't want to run because it seemed so tiring and scary to run around my neighborhood. But as I did it a few times, I realized that running is all about perseverance and as long as I focus on my own thing, it'll be okay. There are days where I follow the complex Youtube videos while working out, but there are also days where I do yoga to relieve my stress and reflect back on myself. I'm actually surprised that I'm committing to exercising everyday because I'm super busy with summer school (both at Alvarado and Mt. Sac), studying for the upcoming ACT and SAT, reading for Acadec and English 12. This experience is teaching me how I should manage my time to balance all my activities and finding a way to destress. In the past, my go-to destress mention would be to take a nap. However, this is a better method because it allows me to stay fit and do something for a change.
