__**Administration Work -**__ `Police tools and documents need to be kept up to date and accurate. HR is responsible for updating the police roster, case files/policies and tracking individual divisions/officers activity.`
__**Support -**__ `Being a point of call for officers who may be struggling or have issues.`
__**Demotions and Firing -**__ `HR Officers are responsible for demoting officers who have shown a lack of quality or desire for the role and feel they don’t deserve the rank they currently uphold. If situations become severe, HR has the ability to fire officers who show ability or dedication to the force (with command authorization).`
__**Recruitment & Selection -**__ `HR Officers hand-pick the best candidates through external recruitment methods. Individuals are analyzed through their initial application form, which progresses onto a face-to-face interview and finally, their response training provided the candidate has passed the prior stages.`
__**Education Training & Development -**__ `Tied in closely with the training department, HR works to ensure all officers have high-performance capabilities through training programs. We identify room for improvement and liaise with FTOs to ensure all officers are well prepared to tackle every scenario.`
