TANGGAPAN DANIEL RADCLIFFE MENGENAI CERITA PENDEK HARRY POTTER.
JK Rowling telah membuat cerita pendek Harry Potter di situs internet Pottermore yang akan dipublikasikan pada 11 Juli 2014. Bagaimana tanggapan pemeran Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe mengenai kabar ini?
Saat diwawancarai di acara Television Critics Association pada hari Selasa, 8 Juli lalu, Daniel memang sudah mengetahui tentang kabar ini, namun ia mengaku bahwa ia tidak siap untuk kembali berperan sebagai Harry Potter dalam kisah lanjutan Harry Potter ketika dewasa.
Belum ada konfirmasi bahwa cerita pendek Harry Potter ini akan dibuat film kelanjutannya, namun Daniel langsung menyampaikan pendapatnya tentang kabar itu, "Aku cenderung akan menolaknya. Seperti yang aku tau, cerita itu sangat pendek dan tidak layak diadaptasi untuk film." kata Daniel.
Dalam cerita pendek Harry Potter ini, diceritakan Harry telah berusia 34 tahun dengan rambut sedikit beruban dan memiliki bekas luka di tulang pipi kanannya. Daniel kembali menyampaikan pe.dapatnya, "Setidaknya dia (Harry) berusia 12 tahun lebih tua dariku sekarang.". Daniel merasa tidak pantas memainkan peran Harry Potter ketika dewasa tersebut.
Daniel kini memang sangat sibuk dalam film barunya yang berjudul "A Young Doctor's Notebook and Other Stories". Ia berperan sebagai seorang pria yang kecanduan morfin sangat parah dengan setting perang sipil Rusia di tahun 1981.
