Yu Rebi awalnya hanya menjajakan sate kere berkeliling kampung pada 1970.
Kemudian pada 1986, warung Yu Rebi mulai didirikan di Jalan Kebangkitan Nasional.
Sekarang sate kere Yu Rebi memiliki tiga cabang.
Dua di Jalan Kebangkitan Nasional, sedangkan satu lagi berada di pusat kuliner Solo malam hari, Galabo, di daerah Gladag.
Untuk warga Solo, warung sate kere Yu Rebi tidak asing karena memang sangat populer di Kota Solo.
Sate kere memiliki sejarah yang cukup unik.
'Kere' dalam bahasa Jawa berarti miskin, menjelaskan riwayat sejarah sate kere yang awalnya merupakan makanan rakyat kalangan bawah.
Menu andalan dari warung sate kere Yu Rebi adalah sate campur yang terdiri atas semua jenis daging atau jeroan yang ditawarkan.
Satu porsi sate kere yang berisi 10 tusuk dihargai Rp 20.000, sudah dengan nasi.
