I met a Superhero
Vol. 4 – I’ll be your reason

Don’t know how well this is going be, but the basic idea is, there was a women. First time I found someone who was truly alive. She was the part of me I lost somewhere along the way, the part that was missing, the part I was longing for… She was a sweet dream I did not want to wake up from. And before I knew it, the time come to say goodbye to her. I wasn’t afraid of anything for a very long time, because things didn’t matter to me so much. I was fine with everything and how things were going. Then I met you Dodo. And soon I realised that I wanted to live, I started to think like that; for the first time in a very long time I was afraid of losing… and that feeling is not the one I am used to. You did this to me. Of the days that I have lived, only those I spent with you seemed real.

We met in the most unexpected way possible. We both joined Philips, and ended up in the same department. Your teams kept changing like changing the sides of a Rubik’s cube trying to solve it and get all the colours together. And it took one more switch to bring us together, to complete it. When I did join Skincare team, it took me one whole PI before I had you sitting in front me. Another one of my fragmented memories; when I got to know, that you would be replacing Dhiraj, I knew that you would sitting in front of me, and that thought itself made me look forward to having you in the team. I was excited to be with you, even before you were part of the team. I looked forward to working with you, even before you attended your first stand-up. There is always a loved one who just comes into my life and changes everything. I had a faint outline of my loved one. And the search ended when I found you.

PS : On the note of sitting in front you, I would keep looking at you from time to time, just to get lost in thoughts about you. Even when the additional monitor came, I kept it aside because I didn’t want anything blocking my view. One of the wonders of the world. The view which makes you gasp for air and pinch yourself, that such feelings can felt in such simple and cute scenes.

You faced so many problems and setbacks in your previous team. You had to keep proving yourself worthy enough to be at the position you were at. The world did not do justice with you, but that didn’t stop you from proving them wrong. With every story given to you came your commitment to complete and deliver it. With all the doubts, came your actions to prove them wrong. It was foolish of the people not to see what a true gold team member they were losing. Everything that could go wrong, everything that could right, all the actions and it’s kickbacks all leaded me to you. If that does not have any cosmic beauty to it, then what does.



Blacksmiths spend years working on a single katana(Japanese sword) and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind. Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen. It is another human creation which would defines resolve, commitment, grace, lethalness, the beauty to yield a powerful weapon capable of slicing anything, and that is you. As humans we have a lot of emotions / skills / attributes / functions / behavioural traits from which we can choose and form our character. These are common and available for every human, but it is you, who chose the ones which sets you apart.
I have said this before, but, we all are given these parameters with us, but it is a master like you, who shows us the true potential of being human and the burden and courage and happiness that comes with it. In gaming terms, you chose all the add-ons, weaponry and skills that make you legendary. It is your ability to turn such simple skills and polish them into the most beautiful and true person. A kind soul, an guardian. A sword wields no strength, unless the hand that holds it has courage. And Dodo, you hold the courage and ability to yield the sword.

You have so many doubts regarding your choices. You have doubt in your mind whether you going to US to pursue MS in CS was the correct decision. Is there another road which leads to something better? Are you cut for it? Will you be able to do the things expected from you? This the life that you chose for yourself and now nothing can change that. You don’t need to fret or doubt your decision. It is the path you chose a long time ago and all that’s left is to walk upon it. But the beauty is that, the future isn’t written yet.
Comic books and film endings might always be the same, however.. when it comes to life neither you nor I are mere readers. We are the writers.. We can change the ending. You cannot go into battle believing you will lose. That outcome will always be negative. I believe in you Dodo, more than you can fathom. I know you can achieve the utmost level of excellence. And once and for all prove anyone having doubts (even yourself) that you made it. It won’t be easy.
There will be times when you just want to give up, times when you will be tired, times when you will be doubtful, and the worst days will come up unexpectedly, but I believe that you will overcome these hurdles and charge through and focus on your goals. I want you to dedicate your heart to it and nothing less.

Shinzou wo Sasageyo ...

Take this as a motivation call or a speech given by a commander, but all the hardships you had to face through, prepared you for your very different life ahead. Everything changes. You will be out of your comfort zone, but I believe in you. Remember, till the time I come, there’ll always be a person rooting for you. Create your rightful future with your own two hands. You will be a new comer at your college. It will be a clean slate for you to build who you are. To mould the person you want to be.
Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself. So every decision you take for you now, every wrong decision you have taken till now, which has thrown your life into darkness, which made you doubt yourself, the dark clouds, will no long matter. Because now you have a new chapter to write. Being the author of a book which hasn’t been written yet. And you Dodo, will write a masterpiece.


What is love? It’s when your eyes start following someone, and you look for them if they’re not around. You get excited thinking you might run into them when you’re putting your shoes on in the morning. And when you don’t it’s a little disappointing. But then you pass by him/her and that makes you happy for the rest of the day. It feels like you can handle anything. Seeing them is enough to make you happy. And that person for me is you. My Baka Dodo. No matter how much you change, no matter how much you differ from the person I knew, I will love you always. Your new sides and some old sides( yet to be revealed) always give a new person to love. You think that you are quite normal, but you are far ahead from any normality.
Everyone and everything has their flaws and imperfection. But that what drives to us to work together. To make up for those flaws, together. We make the perfect main character.
Your soul will always stay beautiful no matter what time does to you. Isn’t that the reason why people pay extraordinarily high prices for great pieces of art. It’s because no matter how old they get, how out-dated they get, their soul stays young and beautiful.
